"Do You Know What It Means To Lose New Orleans?"

I apologize for the lag in posting, but like most of you, I suspect, I've been overwhelmed by the reports out of New Orleans. The near total destruction of a major American city is something unknown in our lifetimes, and the desperate condition of so many of the people trapped in the ruins is hard to bear.

There really is little that I can contribute at this point besides speculation, and there's more than enough of that. I'll resume posting once things settle down a bit.
